Destroyed evidence creates need for open records

Following the disappearance of crucial records involved in the prosecution of Kansas City's Planned Parenthood, a pro-life organization is making demands for open records.
During a preliminary hearing, Planned Parenthood attorneys told the court the records disappeared during a routine purge of files (see earlier story). But Operation Rescue's Cheryl Sullinger says that is suspicious because they went missing before the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's scheduled two-year cleaning.
"Those records had been under subpoena in 2004, and for them to be destroyed a few months later in 2005 while they were under subpoena in a criminal investigation is really, it's an improper destruction of records to say the least," she contends. Read more at OneNewsNow.
