Abortion: What Now?

This is a follow up to the previous post. President Obama signed his executive order rescinding President Bush's Mexico City Policy executive order by signing the order on a Friday evening when the mainstream media wasn't paying attention. Why is President Obama trying so hard to hide it? Does he realize what he is doing is against the public will? Polls indicate most Americans are against abortion domestically or overseas.

Last Thursday, Representative Mike Pence (R-Indiana) introduced H.R.614, an amendment to Title X of the Public Health Service Act that would eliminate federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Doe it have a chance of passing? Only if enough people wake up. Otherwise the one party juggernaut will probably keep it from coming out of committee.

It really bothered me a lot that neither of my two pro-life Senators issued a press release on the reversal of the Mexico City Policy. As far as I know, the only two U.S. Senators who issued press releases were Barbara Boxer (for it, of course) and Sam Brownback (against it, of course). Why the silence on the part of our U.S. Senators??

Lisa,
In my state, we got one for two, better than average I think. Sam Brownback responded, but Pat Roberts has not so far.
Obama may start a counter-revolution if he is not careful. Many black pastors are saying this is not the change they wanted.

Next up, providing more contraceptives with our tax money.

As for responses, I haven't heard anything from Sen Grassley. & as for our "Catholic" Senator, Harkin, he is as pro-abortion as they come.

Al, Thanks for the comment. I email my senators frequently and they respond. We need to keep their feet to the fire.

I appreciate all the pro-life blogs. We need more of them.

Blessings,

Rick
