I have been following Phill Klines’s career since he was elected Attorney General of Kansas. From day one, he has had to fight against George Tillers million dollar campaign support of public officials who are pro-choice. It was no wonder he lost last Tuesday’s Primary election to Howe. The wonder is in how many votes he actually did get in spite of the lies, innuendo, and dirty politics arrayed against him.
One of the biggest lies against Kline is that he is a ‘one-issue’ prosecutor. This erroneous impression was created by the pro-choice media, which deliberately neglected to report his other activities. Included in this group are the
Kansas City Star,
The Wichita Eagle, and even the
Johnson County Sun. Since Phill Kline became Johnson County District Attorney, conviction rates have leaped to an incredible 75% versus Morrison's 61%.
The big lie which cost Kline re-election to the state post of Kansas Attorney General was that Kline violated the privacy of women who had abortions. This lie was repeated over and over–I saw the ads and heard them–until election day. The truth is that Governor Sebelius asked then Republican DA of Johnson County, Paul Morrison, to become a Democrat to run against Kline for his bid for re-election. Morrison did and his campaign, supported by abortion money, published the aforementioned lie and Kline lost to Morrison. Later Morrison resigned due to an affair and an impropriety connected with it. In truth, a judge approved Kline’s request to seek records of woman having abortions with the patient’s names redacted.
Kline brought about the conviction of John Henry Horton for the murder of 13 year old Elizabeth Wilson in July 1974 at Shawnee-Mission East High School, a 33 year old case. Very little in the media was said about his work bringing Horton to justice. Horton was sentenced fifteen to life in prison. It is even difficult today to find much about Kline’s prosecution of Horton on the internet. In snubbing Kline, the media is relegating Elizabeth Wilson to the ash can of history.
The So-called ‘Traditional Republicans,’ not to be confused with the ‘Kansas Republican Party,’ is a coalition of liberal and so-called moderate Republicans who generally support pro-choice and government spending after the tradition of Nancy Kassebaum and Bill Graves. This group supported Steve Howe against Phill Kline. Included among those that endorsed Howe are both Kansas Senators, and a host of so-called moderate Republicans. A massive mailing to Johnson County households asked voters to vote for Steve Howe and Frank Denning, our moderate sheriff. A website, the KRA Blog, spells out the chicanery of this group of hypocrites:
http://www.kansasra.org/blog. It matters not which of the two winners, Howe or Guinn (the Democrat), wins in November. It it believed neither will resume the case against Planned Parenthood.
Another factor costing Kline the election were misguided pro-life voters who selected Howe in the voting booth. They believed the so-called ‘Traditional Republicans’ that Kline could not beat Guinn in November and that Kline on the ballot would drag down the Republican slate of candidates. This was pure bull. This no doubt also cost a lot of votes. True Republicans? No. They are RINOS, Republicans in name only. Now, the Kline factor in politics has caused some quasi Republicans to become Democrats. Good riddance!
This is the group that disappoints me. They should know better. They fall into a misguided group responsible for Kline’s loss at the ballot box. This group includes many of the Kansas voters, who are naive. They believed everything they read or heard in the pro-choice (pro-abortion) media. They are lazy and did not check the source or the facts.
A final factor is the disarray within the Republican Party in Kansas. The legitimate Republican Party should have boldly blasted every lie the RINOS and the Democrats have reported. They do a good job informing the members of the Republican Party by internet newsletters, but don’t do as well in the media. The party is fractured and the real traditional Republicans must return to their base if they wish to survive.
My response to the chicanery against Kline is this: I will write Kline’s name in the write-in section. So don’t get upset, you Kline-haters. I do not believe this will retain him in office. I am going to do it as a protest against the corruption in Kansas bought and paid for by the Abortion mills. I only hope others will do the same.
In conclusion, elected officials funded by Tiller and Planned Parenthood have delayed, prolonged, lied, and done everything possible to derail Kline's charges against, first Tiller, then Planned Parenthood. The Pro-Abortion lobby is powerful and anyone who gets in their way will face heavy opposition. When this house of cards collapses, great will be the fall thereof.
